SMACC Clean Air Solutions tarjoaa ainutlaatuisen ilmanpuhdistuksen T&K-palveluympäristön kansainvälisillä markkinoilla toimiville yrityksille. Keskitymme puhtaisiin, energiatehokkaisiin ja hiljaisiin tuotteisiin ja tuotantoympäristöihin. Meillä on vahva osaaminen ilman kontaminaation valvonnassa, kehittyneissä ilmansuodatustekniikoissa ja ilmavirta-analyyseissä sekä nesteen dynamiikan simuloinnissa (CFD) ja mittauksessa. NanoBAT – best available technology in manufacturing and handling nanomaterials

Challenge

  • How different technical protective measures can be applied reliably and efficiently in nanotechnology manufacturing processes

Solution

  • A control banding tool for nanotechnology working environments was developed in close cooperation with companies. The tool can be used to select the most effective countermeasure techniques for the processes and materials used.

Benefit

  • The project enabled the implementation of safer nanotechnology processes so that workers´ exposure can be prevented.

Alme Solutions – development of a clean air diffuser

Challenge

  • To develop a unique indoor air purification solution for elevated indoor air quality and cleanliness.

Solution

  • Based on a patented clean air diffuser technology, an indoor air particle reduction of up to 80 % may be reached without increasing the ventilation rate, the size or the energy consumption of the HVAC system.

Benefit

  • Clean air diffusers are launched internationally in commercial buildings, public buildings and residents, especially in metropolises suffering from bad pollution.

Gas turbine inlet air filter performance evaluation

Challenge

  • In diesel and gas turbine power plants, effective filters are used to prevent the most important and expensive parts of the power engine to get dirty or wear unnecessarily and cause reduced efficiency and power output.

Solution

  • VTT provides filter performance evaluations on site (in land, on shore and off-shore), tailored laboratory tests* and expertise on filter material and filter development. VTT has special expertise on wet condition evaluation.*For example, GE Spec 395A3217, Test procedure: “filter performance in coastal environments”

Benefit

  • The filter manufacturers and their customers have gained valuable insight of the performace of the products in harsh conditions, contributing to the positive development of the whole market segment.

Jeven Oy – efficiency for professional kitchens

Challenge

  • To enhance the efficiency of grease separators of local exhaust ventilation systems in professional kitchens.

Solution

  • A novel filter solution, where the separation efficiency is based on a fast rotating separator plate. The plate has been treated with a dirt and grease repellent nanomaterial coating.

Benefit

  • Jeven Oy can provide its customers with a more efficient filter solution that is easy and quick to clean and can also achieve cost and energy savings.
  • With the solution, Jeven Oy can better respond to the needs of its customers and improve its competitiveness.

Lifa Air – development of 3G air filtration technology

Challenge

  • To develop an advanced technique for filtration of 1) fine particles, 2) bacteria & virus and 3) harmful gases for enhanced indoor air quality and cleanliness

Solution

  • 3-in-1 filters with high filtration efficiency, high loading capacity, low pressure drop and low energy consumption

Benefit

  • Air purifiers and filters exploiting the 3G technology are internationally available in a number of applications for both professional and consumer markets. The products enable healthier and safer living especially in metropolises suffering from bad pollution.
